Welcome, I’m Rafael! I identify myself as a cisgender gay male, my pronouns are he/him, and I’m an immigrant from Brazil (the Northeast side), living in Canada since 2017.
I work in the mental health field since 2012. I hold a Master’s Degree in Public Health (UFC, Brazil, 2017) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology (UNIFOR, Brazil, 2012). I also have completed a Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health (Durham College, Canada, 2019).
I completed a Bridging Program (BREM Cohort 11 - MNLCT) on Feb 28, 2025, and I'm applying for CRPO, waiting for my application processing to become a registered mental health professional in Ontario. While getting my license, I’m a student therapist working under the supervision of Debora Nitkin PhD, RP, RN.
I’m a Portuguese and English speaker, and work mainly with 2SLGBTQIA+, BIPOC, immigrant, and polyamorous communities.
